Have Another Question?

We've tried to answer the most common questions here on this page, but if you have another question that we haven't answered, then feel free to get in touch.

1. How do I tie my sling?
There are a variety of ways in which our slings can be used. Please see our "How To Use" page for more information about how to use our mei tai style slings, including important safety tips.

2. Do you provide slings in different sizes?
The shoulder straps on our slings are 75” long, with the waist straps being 80", and SnugBaby mei tais are designed to fit most people, up to a women’s size 22/24.  Please contact us if you have any special considerations.

3. Do you provide sample fabric?
Unfortunately, we don't offer formal samples, however if you particularly want to see a sample of a particular fabric we can always try to locate some offcuts - please get in touch.

4. What are the slings made from?
From Spring 2009, the main body of SnugBaby slings are made from 100% cotton, which complies with the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard, for harmful substances. The accent panels of the slings are made from various materials depending on the design.

In Spring 2010, we launched a fully organic version of the SnugBaby, which is made from 100% organic cotton, and also complies with Oeko-Tex 100 Standard.

5. Can I wash my sling?
All slings are machine washable, on a delicate cycle, and should be line dried.

6. What sized children are the slings suitable for?
Children from newborn to toddler (with a maximum weight of approximately 33lb) can go in the sling, depending on carry position. If the body of the sling is too long for your new baby, roll up from the bottom to shorten the length. The headrest should remain up for young children, to allow some support, but can be folded back once the baby can hold his head up. All seams are double stitched, and the weight-bearing seams are triple stitched to ensure they remain as strong as possible.

7. Are SnugBaby slings safe?
As of Spring 2009, all new SnugBaby slings have been tested to BSEN 13209-2:2005, which assesses the mechanical strength, flamability and toxicity. The accent panels were not included in the tests since they do not form part of the main sling. Always follow the instructions given for the safest way of carrying your baby.

8. Can I breastfeed my baby while he is in the sling?
Yes, you can. Simply loosen the waist strap so that you are able to lower your baby to the correct level. Baby can then feed, while the body of the sling preserves your dignity. When you are ready, simply readjust to the original height and retighten the straps.

9. How long will my order take?
Please see our delivery page.

10. How much is delivery?
Delivery is free in the UK.
