SnugBaby came about as a result of having a clingy baby. Luckily he was very small at birth, so carrying him in my arms wasn't a problem, but as he got older I found I needed a way to carry him comfortably, and be able to deal with my older son at the same time. With other soft baby carriers I tried, it quickly became apparent that my son found it uncomfortable as his legs were spread too wide. I experimented with making my own baby slings and found a design that was comfortable for both him and me, and so SnugBaby was born. Since then, I have developed something of a passion for slings. I love having my son (who, at 16 months, is now quite a big boy) so close to me, and he loves the feeling of security he gets from being in a sling. I am now a Work-at-home-mum, making slings in my spare time. I love finding beautiful fabrics to use for my slings, making them a lovely accessory, as well as a functional carrier.
