Harrogate Nursery Fair

I paid a visit to my first trade show this weekend, and what an experience! To be honest, I found it a bit overwhelming when I first went in and was faced with so many fabulous brands and companies.

I spent the first half an hour walking round the first hall, just getting my bearings, and in doing so, came across the lovely Cara from SnoozeShade. We had a great natter, and she made me a lot more relaxed – thanks Cara!

After another wander round that hall, working out who I wanted to speak to, and looking at all the gorgeous products, I headed off to meet Vicky from The Funky Fairy. After dissecting various business issues and chatting about the ins and outs of the trade fair, we were joined by Joanne from Baby Loves Shopping. It was great to meet up with people in the baby industry and compare notes.

I found some amazing new products, and am looking into stocking new lines, which is very exciting, and I popped along to see Shani from Napsack/SlingJax to have a chat about the baby sling safety issue that we are both involved with, in the form of the Consortium of UK Sling Manufacturers and Retailers.

Aside from the opportunity to view lots of pretty things, and wear the soles of my shoes out from walking, a huge plus point, in my opinion, was the opportunity to network. I have come away with lots of fab ideas and have so many new possibilities swimming around in my little head!
