The best thing about babywearing (for me):
Has to be the fabulous cuddles and closeness I get to share with my son. I still prefer the sling to the pushchair, even though he is now 3 years old, and love the chats we have when he is up at my level instead of knee height!

Having visitors, and feel shy about breastfeeding your baby? Don’t be forced to leave the room, use a baby sling to cover your modesty instead. Babywearing helps provide discretion while feeding your baby, and you can enjoy the company of your guests.

If you need any more reasons to use a baby carrier, did you know that babies who are carried learn more quickly, as they spend their time being involved in your world, not just watching, but participating; developing a brain that is learning to learn.

Contrary to what people think, babywearing does not encourage babies to be clingy – quite the opposite is true. They learn to be secure so that even when you are not in the immediate vicinity, they know you are close by and will be back soon.

Got your turkey yet? If your baby is a little clingy, pop him in a back carry, and chop those veg knowing he is safe and happy
Top Tip:
Why not spread some festive cheer, and go out carol singing in your neighbourhood. A great way to involve your baby, who will love the songs, and snuggle up from the cold close to you in their baby carrier or sling.

A Week To Go:
If you are struggling to get your mei tai high enough on your back, try tying the waist straps extra high (maybe even above your chest) and remember to bounce before tightening and tying the shoulder straps, to make sure baby is snuggled down and to minimise slippage later on.
