Mmmmm, pie…

I am not known for my domestic goddess skills. Don’t get me wrong, I can cook, and I do enjoy it, but life gets in the way of making nice things for the sake of it.

Yesterday I happened to catch the end of This Morning, and saw Ed Baines making a fabulous-looking creamy chicken and ham pie, so I decided that today, I would award myself a well-earned hour os so off from working, whilst SnugBoy#2 napped, and  attempt the pie.

My goodness, it was worth it! It wasn’t a very hard pie to make (although I confess I cheated and didn’t make the pastry myself). SnugBoy#2 doesn’t like pie much – he doesn’t do pastry – so I made him a version with mashed potato on the top, and that went down very well! I was expecting leftovers for me to nibble (we eat later than the boys) but no such luck – it was devoured!

It tasted every bit as delicous as it looks, so if you are looking for something tasty to make this weekend, definately give it a go – SnugMan heartily recommends it too!
