The Countdown Is On…

It’s 2 months until The Summer Sling Show, and I am starting the preparations in earnest. I haven’t done a show before, and, although helping out at The Baby Show was a good experience, I am none the wiser as to what I should be doing.

I have been looking into things like banners and promotional stuff, and also using any spare time I get (pah!) to make slings to take with me. Today I have sent off the one that is to be in the fashion show, which will then be raffled afterwards, so that’s one thing ticked off my To Do list.

The accommodation is arranged (thanks to Hub’s uncle, who lives close by) and the childminder’s sorted (thanks, Mum). So now just to get some publicity and some products made! I am very much looking forward to it, and excited about doing the show, but there is no much I need to remember - receipt books, order forms, stationery etc, not to mention finding an extra tailor’s dummy, if I can get hold of one, for display purposes. I was hoping to have taken the children with me (J would have made a fab model - provided he was in the right mood) but we have decided against it. Probably for the best. I’ll be sure to update you when I have more to tell you about how it is all going…
